Fried sweet puffs (bunuelos)

2 | cups | Flour |
½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |

Cinnamon | ||
Honey |
Directions
Heat water and brown sugar in 1 quart pan to boiling; boil uncovered 2 minutes. Cool; stir in egg. Cut butter into flour, baking powder and salt until mixture resembles fine crumbs; stir in egg mixture. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead until elastic, 5 minutes.
Shape dough into roll, 20" long. cover and let rest for 1 hour. Heat oil 1" to 365. Cut dough into 1" shapes. Roll each slice onto lightly floured surface to 5" circle. Fry circles, turning once, until golden brown, 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon or serve with honey.
