German apple kuchen

Ingredients

8 ounces Cream cheese; softened
cup Confectioner's sugar
2 tablespoons Margarine; softened
1 pack (8 oz) crescent rolls
3 Apples (up to 4)
½ cup Flour
cup Brown sugar
3 tablespoons Margarine; softened
½ cup Chopped nuts

Directions

Heat oven to 375°. In medium bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon and margarine until smooth. Separate crescent rolls into 2 long rectangles.

Press into ungreased 13x9" pan to form crust. Crust should go up sides slightly. Seal perferations. Spread cheese mixture on top. Pare and slice apples. Place in 3-4 rows on dough. Completely cover cheese mixture. In small bowl, blend flour, brown sugar, margarine and chopped nuts. Sprinkle on top of apples. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes until apples are tender and crust golden. NOTES
