Glazed key lime-nut cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 cups Sifted flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1 each 1 /2 teaspoons salt
cup Sugar
1 cup Unsalted butter or margarine
4 eaches Eggs (or 1 cup egg substitute)
1 cup Milk
8 teaspoons Grated lime rind
2 cups Chopped pecans
6 tablespoons Lime juice

Method: Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream 2 cups sugar with butter; beat in eggs. Add flour mixture and milk alternately, beating after each addition. Stir in rind and nuts. Turn into greased tube pan. Bake at 350' till done, about 1 hour. Remove cake from pan as soon as baked. In small pan, stir and cook remaining 1½ cups sugar and juice till sugar is dissolved. A little at a time, pour over cake till all glaze is absorbed. Cool and slice.
