Grandma conner's jewish coffee cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Butter
3 eaches Eggs
2 teaspoons Almond flavoring
½ cup Sugar
½ cup Flour
cup Sour cream
3 cups Flour
½ teaspoon Salt
3 teaspoons Baking powder
½ cup Chopped nutmeats
½ teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions

YIELD: 1 CAKE

FILLING

Combine sugar, butter, eggs, almond flaovring, and sour cream. Beat until Smooth. Sift dry ingredients together and combine with wet mixture. Grease a 10" tube pan and line bottom with waxed paper. Pour half of the batter in and sprinkle with combined filling ingredients.

Pour remaining batter over. Bake in a preheated 350 oven until toothpick comes out clean. Let stand 15 minutes before removing cake from pan and cooling on wire rack. Source: Grandma Conner Posted by Carolyn Shaw 12-13-94
