Grandma hartjens's kolacaky

1 pack Yeast
2 tablespoons Sugar
¼ cup Warm water
2 Eggs
2 Egg yolks
1 cup Cream or canned milk
2 Egg whites, beaten stiff
cup Powder sugar
2 teaspoons Lemon extract
½ teaspoon Salt
cup Flour
1 cup Butter or oleo
¼ cup Sugar
½ teaspoon Vanilla

Directions

FROSTING

disolve yeast, sugar in water. add eggs, butter, milk, lemon extract and 2 cups flour, let rise 1 hour. add rest of flour, knead, roll out ½ inch thick. cut with biscuit cutter, let rise 1 hour in greased pan. make a dent in each with back of spoon. add filling. bake 12 min. in 375 degrees oven and let cool. frost around filling not on it. presonal note: in this recipe grandma lists ¼ cup sugar with nothing to do with it.
