Grandma ruby's ice box rolls

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Salt (level)
1 cup Shortening or butter (scant)
2 cups Warm water
1 Yeast cake Fleishmans
6 To 8 cups of flour

Directions

Mix sugar and butter and one beaten egg. 6 to 8 cups of flour. Leave out for two hours in warm place. Put in frigidaire. Leave rolls out of ice<box> for 1½ hrs. before baking.

Valerie's Note: I guess she means the shortening when she says to mix the butter... I guess you could use butter instead of shortening. I guess you would add the water with the flour....
