1½ | ounce | Butter |
3 | smalls | Onions |
1 | small | Shallot |
Worcestershire sauce | ||
1 | pounds | Mashed potatoes |
¼ | pint | Stock |
Directions
Mince the beef and rashers of bacon very finely, add salt, pepper, chopped parsley. Melt the butter in a saucepan or a frying pan, and fry the chopped onions and shallots until golden brown. Then stir in the meat and fry it lightly, add about ¼ pt stock, and a few drops Worcestershire sauce. Well butter a fireproof dish or pie dish, put in the meat mixture, well cover with finely mashed potatoes. These should be prepared with a little butter and milk and carefully seasoned. Brown in the oven.
