French meat pie^

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons Oil
1 large Onion, thinly sliced
1 pounds Ground beef
1 pounds Ground pork
1 cup Mashed potatoes
1 can (8oz) veg-all, drained
2 teaspoons Allspice
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
Double crust pie shell
1 Egg, beaten, optional

Directions

Saute onion in oil until tender. Remove from pan and set aside. Brown beef and pork; drain. Combine meat, onion and seasonings; mix well.

Pour into pastry lined pie plate; cover with top crust, fluting edges to seal. Make steam vents, brush with egg if de Bakae at 375F. unti crust is golden, 30-35 minutes.
