Home made chicken gravy base and recipe

Ingredients

1⅓ cup Dry milk powder
¾ cup All purpose flour
3 tablespoons Chicken bouillon granules
¼ teaspoon Ground sage
½ cup Butter or margarine
teaspoon Yellow food color
1 cup Cold water
½ cup Chicken gravy mix

Directions

CHICKEN GRAVY MIX

GRAVY

MIX Combine milk powder, flour, chicken bouillon and sage, cut in margarine and food coloring until pieces resemble cornmeal. Store in tightly covered container in the refrigerator up to 2 months. Makes about 3 cups mix.

GRAVY In saucepan blend cold water into gravy base mix. Cook and stir until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Cook 1 minute more. Makes 1 cup gravy.
