2 pounds GROUND BEEF
4 cups ONION -- CHOPPED
2 cups CELERY -- CHOPPED
6 GARLIC;MINCED -- cloves
2 pounds TOMATO -- CANS
4 cups BEEF BROTH
½ cup TOMATO PASTE
1 teaspoon CUMIN -- GROUND
2 teaspoons SALT
2 teaspoons COCOA -- UNSWETND
1 teaspoon CINNAMON -- GROUND
1 teaspoon HOT PEPPERS -- LIQUID
¼ teaspoon ALLSPICE -- GROUND
¼ teaspoon CLOVES -- GROUND
2 tablespoons CHILI POWDER

Directions

In a kettle, cook ground beef with onion, celery and garlic until browned.

Add tomatoes with their liquid, beef broth, tomato paste and seasonings.

Simmer for 1 hour and add 1-2 cans of red beans if desired. Serve over buns with saltines or tortillas; or melt cheese over the top, spread with salsa and enjoy.
