Kohl's peanut brittle

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |

2 | cups | Sugar |
2 | cups | Karo (red label) syrup |
½ | cup | Hot water |
1 | Lump of butter (about 1 tb) | |
½ | pounds | Or more raw peanuts rolled with a rolling pin |
1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
Directions
Boil sugar, syrup, water, and butter until golden brown stirring often. Add baking soda to the raw peanuts. Grease a cookie sheet. Pour peanuts into the syrup. Remove from the fire AT ONCE. Pour on on the greased cookie sheet, smoothing over into a thin layer.
When cooled, crack up into serving pieces.
