Marble chocolate chip cupcakes

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 each 8-ounce package cream cheese softened
cup Sugar; divided
1 each Egg; slightly beaten
teaspoon Salt
1 each 6-ounce package semisweet chocolate morsels
cup All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ cup Cocoa
1 cup ;Water
½ cup Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon Vinegar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Directions

Combine cream cheese and ½ cup sugar; beat until smooth. Add egg, ⅛ teaspoon salt, and chocolate morsels, stirring well. Set aside.

Combine flour, remaining 1 cup sugar, soda, ½ teaspoon salt, and cocoa; stir until blended. Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla; stir until batter is smooth. Spoon batter into paper-lined muffin pans, filling half-full. Spoon a tablespoonsful of cream cheese mixture into center of each cupcake. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes or until cupcakes test done. Yield: 18 cupcakes.
