Mexican-style dressing

1 | tablespoon | Vegetable Oil |
1 | large | Yellow Onion; peeled & diced |
2 | tablespoons | Garlic; minced |
1 | Jalapeno; minced | |
1 | pounds | Chorizo; sliced |
2 | Granny Smith Apples; cored & diced | |
6 | cups | Corn Bread Crumbs; 1 /2 inch |
¼ | cup | Fresh Cilantro; chopped |
1 | cup | Milk |
Salt And Pepper To Taste |
Directions
In large saute pan over medium heat, heat oil until hot. Add the onion and saute until transparent(about 5 min). Then add the garlic and Jalapeno and saute for 1 minute(stirring occasionally). Add the sausage and saute for another 5 minutes, to render out some of the fat. Remove from heat. pour off fat, and place in medium bowl. Add apples,croutons, and cilantro and mix well, then add milk, season to taste, and mix well. Put in an oven proof bowl and bake for 1½ hrs at 350.
