Mom's pot roast

Ingredients

4 pounds Chuck roast
1 tablespoon Paprika
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons Oil
½ cup Water
10 smalls Whole onions
10 smalls Carrots, halved
2 cans Tomato sauce, 8 oz.

Directions

Sprinkle meat with paprika, salt and pepper. Brown in oil in a Dutch oven. Add water; cover and simmer for 1½ hours or until meat is tender. Arrange vegetables around the meat; pour in tomato sauce.
