Mother's divinity icing

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Sugar
cup Water
3 tablespoons Corn syrup
1 tablespoon Vinegar
2 Egg whites
¼ teaspoon Cream of tartar
1 pinch Salt
6 larges Marshmallows

Directions

Combine sugar, water, syrup and vinegar. Cook to soft-ball stage. Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat in cream of tartar and salt. Add ½ of hot mixture. To other half, add marshmallows to dissolve. Combine mixtures and beat until spreading consistency.
