Simmer until tender. Remove peel and cook liquid down to about ⅓ cup. In mixing bowl combine rest of sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Ad milk to orange syrup to make ⅔ cup liquid and mix with 1 egg. Stir all ingredients together with orange peel. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350ø for 45 minutes.
