4 | tablespoons | Sugar |
3 | xes | Egg yolks |
½ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
3 | xes | Egg whites, beat stiff |
6 | tablespoons | Sugar |
½ | pounds | Ground nuts |
1 | x | Marmalade, to taste |
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients(flour,butter,sugar,egg yolks& baking soda) in order given, making a dough. Spread dough in baking tray of medium size. Beat egg whites stiff, add sugar gradually, then add ground nuts. To this, add marmalade to taste. Spread mixture over dough and bake at 350 until done. When cooled slightly, cut in crescents with edge of water glass, or cut in different shapes with a cookie cutter. Submitted By MARK MIKLAS On 08-11-95
