Oysters on the half shell

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
24 Oysters lettuce or crushed ice
2 Lemons, cut into wedges Tabasco sauce

Directions

Wash oysters well. Prepare beds of lettuce or crushed ice on serving plates. Open oysters just before serving. Discard top shell; loosen oyster from bottom of shells by cutting ligaments but leave oyster on shell. Serve oyster immediately, garnished with lemon wedges. Serve Tabasco sauce seperately.
