Pear and pecan cake

Ingredients

2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
cup Brown sugar; firmly packed
½ cup Vegetable oil
3 Eggs
¼ cup Sugar
¼ cup Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla
5 Firm peas; cored and chopped
½ cup Pecans; chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F. Butter and flour a 9" x 13" baking pan. Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and salt. Beat together brown sugar, oil, eggs, sugar, water and vanilla until smooth. Blend in dry ingredients.

Stir in pears and pecans. Pour batter into pan. Bake for about 55 minutes, cool before serving.
