Pear cobbler 1

1 | tablespoon | Flour |
½ | cup | Flour |
½ | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
¾ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
½ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
2 | tablespoons | Butter |
6 | tablespoons | Buttermilk |
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, optional |
Directions
Toss together pear wedges, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and cinnamon. Spoon into 1-½ quart glass bowl and set aside. Stir together remaining ½ cup flour, salt, remaining 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and baking soda in medium bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in buttermilk to make sticky dough. Drop dough, using tablespoon, around inside edge of bowl to make ring of batter. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 35 minutes, or until dough is golden brown and pear filling is juicy and bubbly. Remove from oven and let set 10 minutes. Serve plain, with cream or ice cream.
