Ingredients

1 | can | Whole tomatoes; large |
½ | cup | Red wine |
3 | Cloves garlic; sliced | |
½ | teaspoon | Pickling spice |

4 | A potatoes; quartered | |
23 | A large onions; sliced |
Directions
Place the roast in a baking pan. Place the potatoes around it. Put the sliced onions on top of this. Pour the tomatoes on next, cutting them up a bit. Pour on the wine, add the spices and add enough water to slightly cover. Bake at 350 degrees for about 2½ hours or until everything is tender. You can use sweet potatoes if you like.
