Rabbi lawson's sephardic harcoset

Ingredients

5 | Apples; | |
16 | ounces | Pkg pitted dates; |
2 | cups | Pecans -=OR=- |
2 | cups | Almonds; coarsely ground |
¼ | cup | Apple cider vinegar; |
½ | cup | Sweet kosher red wine; |
Directions
Peel, core and slice apples. Cook with dates in water to cover until the apples are tender, approximately 45 minutes. Water should be almost evaporated; if not, strain mixture to remove excess water.
Cool the mixture. Blend apples and dates in processor until smooth.
