Rabbi lawson's sephardic harcoset

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
5 Apples;
16 ounces Pkg pitted dates;
2 cups Pecans -=OR=-
2 cups Almonds; coarsely ground
¼ cup Apple cider vinegar;
½ cup Sweet kosher red wine;

Directions

Peel, core and slice apples. Cook with dates in water to cover until the apples are tender, approximately 45 minutes. Water should be almost evaporated; if not, strain mixture to remove excess water.

Cool the mixture. Blend apples and dates in processor until smooth.
