Raw cranberry salad

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Cranberries, fresh; 1/2 lb.
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Apples; unpeeled, diced
1 cup Grape halves, fresh
1 cup Orange sections, fresh
½ cup Pecans; chopped (or walnuts)
Lettuce
¼ cup Cream, heavy; whipped
¼ cup Mayonnaise

Directions

Wash cranberries and put through a food chopper, using coarse blade.

Add sugar, and let drain overnight in refrigerator. (Save juice to use in punch or molded salads.) Combine drained cranberries, apples, grapes, oranges, and nuts. Toss lightly. Serve on lettuce. Blend heavy cream with mayonnaise and serve over salad.
