Rice-bottom pizza

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Cooked rice; (about 1/3 cup)
1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
1 Egg; beaten
1 tablespoon Butter or margarine
½ pounds Sausage or ground beef or mxiture
1 Onion; diced
½ Green pepper; chopped (optional)
Salt and pepper; to taste
1 cup Tomato paste
3 tablespoons Water
Oregano; to taste
Mozzarella cheese

Directions

TOPPING

Prepare the crust: Preheat the oven to 350F. Mix all ingredients together and place in a round baking dish or pizza pan; press the dough with a fork until ¼" thick.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.

Prepare the topping: Mix tomato paste and water; set aside. Cook the meat with onion over medium heat, until meat is brown. Remove from heat; add peppers and S&P.

When crust is cool, evely spread the tomato paste mixture and sprinkle with oregano.

Spread with the meat filling; top with Mozzarella. Bake at 350F, till cheese is melted.
