2 | mediums | Onion; coarsely chopped |
1 | Clove garlic; chopped | |
½ | teaspoon | Dried basil |
½ | teaspoon | Dried marjoram |
¼ | cup | Olive oil |
1 | cup | Chicken broth |
Directions
Trim articholes. Halve & let stand in cold water with the juice of the lemon for 10 minutes. Drain well. Saute the artichokes & onion gently with oil until golden. Add the garlic, herbs & broth. Cover & bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low & simmer gently, covered, for 15 minutes or until tender.
