Rum-cinnamon syrup

1½ | cup | Packed brown sugar |

In saucepan, combine water and broken cinnamon sticks. Simmer, covered for 15 minutes. Add corn syrup and brown sugar. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved; bring to boiling. Stir in rum. Strain out cinnamon. Pour hot syrup into hot clean ½ pint jars. Leave ½" head space. Add one piece of cinnamon to each jar. Adjust lids.
Process in boiling water for 10 minutes (start timing when water returns to boiling). Makes 6 (½) pints. Good over pie, ice cream, etc.
