Sauce rose - tomato cheese sauce

Ingredients

4 | tablespoons | Butter |
2 | Cloves garlic , minced | |
1 | can | (14 oz) of crushed tomatoes |
1 | teaspoon | Basil |
Salt & fresh ground pepper | ||
1½ | tablespoon | Flour |
1½ | cup | Hot milk |
1 | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
¼ | cup | Parmesan cheese (fresh) |
Directions
Melt 2 tbsp butter and saut garlic. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and basil.
Simmer while preparing rest of dish. Melt remaining 2 tbsp of butter and stir in flour. Cook, stirring until thickened. Gradually add hot milk, cook and stir until thickened. Add tomato mixture and nutmeg, then stir in Parmesan cheese.
