Sort of butter toffee

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 Stack saltine crackers; (30-40)
1 cup Butter; (must be real
; butter)
1 cup Brown sugar
6 ounces Chocolate chips
½ cup Nuts; chopped fine

Directions

Place layer of crackers in foil-lined 11 x 16 x 1-inch baking pan. Boil butter and sugar for 3 minutes. Pour over crackers. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 5 minutes or until crackers float. Sprinkle chocolate chips over saltines; when melted spread over chocolate. Top with nuts and pat down. After cooling, break into pieces. Refrigerate in plastic.

Don't let the crackers turn you off this recipe--you won't even notice that they're in the final product. I don't know anyone who's tasted this stuff and didn't like it. It's become a bit of a tradition at my family's Christmas celebrations. Enjoy!
