Spaghetti in white sauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 pack Plain spaghetti; (200 g)
3 cups White sauce
½ teaspoon Garlic crushed
1 Capsicum shredded fine
½ teaspoon Crushed red chilli
1 Potato parboiled; (day old)
1 cup Cheese grated
Salt to taste
Fresh ground pepper to taste

Directions

Boil spaghetti in plenty of water as shown in introduction.

Prepare white sauce as per basic recipe.

Peel and grate the potato coarsely.

Mix spaghetti, salt, chilli, garlic, pepper and potato in the white sauce.

Transfer to an oven proof casserole.

Sprinkle cheese to cover the surface.

Coat capsicum with a layer of butter.

Do this by greasing palms and handling capsicum with them.

Garnish the top with this capsicum.

Bake in a preheated oven at 300C till the top is golden brown and crisp.

Variation: You may add vegetables or substitute spaghetti with pasta strips or macaroni.

Making time: 30 minutes (excluding baking time) Makes: 4-5 servings

Shelflife: Prepare some hours ahead and refrigerate. Bake when required.
