Spanish bean soup

2 | packs | Spanish bean soup mix |
2 | larges | Potatoes; diced |
1 | small | Onion; chopped |
1 | pounds | All meat stew; (cut in small pieces) |
1 | pounds | Ham hocks |
1 | pounds | Smoked sausage; (cut in small pieces) |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Directions
Soak beans overnight (8 hours), drain and rinse. Combine all ingredients in large pot, add seasoning from soup mix and 1½ to 2 quarts water. Bring to boil, lower heat to low and cook for at least 3 to 4 hours (until beans are tender). May be cooked in crock-pot or slow cooker. Put on in morning, ready for supper.
