Special birthday cake frosting

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4½ cup Powdered sugar
1 cup Shortening
6 tablespoons Milk
4 tablespoons Flour or cornstarch
1 dash Salt
1 teaspoon Butter flavoring
1 teaspoon Almond
1 tablespoon Meringue powder; (found at Gygi's)

Directions

Beat all ingredients together for about 5 to 10 minutes. Use cake decorating colors instead of food coloring. This frosting is wonderful for use with cake decorating apparatus. It keeps its shape yet stays soft to eat for many hours.
