I was given this recipe a few summers ago and finally made it last summer.
The thread on RFC was "What is the hottest thing you ever ate?" and for me, this may be it. Please tell me I'm not a Wimp!!! This is from a paper my neighbor had, I can't credit it.
Heat the oil in a small pan and saute the chilies over moderate heat for two minutes, or until they begin to blister, being careful not to burn them. Transfer the chilies to a blender along with the onion, garlic, tomatoes, and salt. Puree until mixture is slightly chunky.
Serve with taco chips. Makes about 1 cup I was not the only one who could not eat it! So there!!! These were home grown Habs and were very HOT!!! Sue CHILE-HEADS DIGEST V2 #238
