Split pea & ham soup

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 Meaty ham bone, cracked
2 cups Green split peas
½ cup Chopped onion
2 Bay leaves
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Celery seed
¼ teaspoon Dried marjoram
teaspoon Thyme
2 quarts Hot water

Directions

Place all ingredients in cooker. Add the hot water. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours. Remove bones; cut off meat and add to soup.

Makes 6 to 8 servings
