Sunday layered salad

1 Head iceburg lettuce --
Chopped
1 pack Frozen peas -- l0 ounces
Thawed
¼ cup Red onion -- chopped
½ cup Celery -- chopped
½ cup Green pepper -- diced
1 can Water chestnuts
8 ounces Drained sliced
2 cups Mayonnaise
Or salad dressing
2 tablespoons Sugar
¼ cup Parmesan cheese -- grated
8 eaches Bacon strips --
Cooked/crumbled

Directions

In a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan, layer all ingredients in order given. Cover and refrigerate until serving time. Do not toss. Cut into squares to serve. Will keep for several days. Yield: 8-10 servings Recipe By : Country Woman
