Swiss pot roast

Ingredients

¼ cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
4 pounds (about) beef pot roast
3 tablespoons Shortening
2 cloves Garlic; finely minced
cup Bell pepper; chopped
½ cup Onion; chopped
1 small Can chopped mushrooms; with liquid
10½ can Tomato soup

Directions

Combine flour, salt, and pepper; coat both sides of roast. Brown in hot shortening in Dutch oven. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; simmer over low heat 2 hours or until tender.
