Szechuan beef and snow peas

Ingredients

½ pounds Beef, boneless
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 tablespoon Soya sauce
2 tablespoons Soya sauce
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
¼ teaspoon Red pepper flakes
¾ cup Water
1 tablespoon Sherry
1 clove Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Oil
6 ounces Snow peas
1 each Onion, small, chopped coarse
1 each Tomato, chunked

Directions

MARINADE

STIR FRY SAUCE

Slice beef across the grain, into thin strips. Combine 1 tb each cornstarch, soy sauce, sherry, and garlic, stir in beef, let stand 15 minutes. Mix 2 tbsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, pepper and water.

heat 1 tbsp oil in hot wok, add beef stir fry 1 minute. remove, heat 1 tbsp oil in same pan. add snow pas and 1onion. add a pinch of salt.

stir fry 3 minutes. add beef soya sauce mixture and 1 tomato, cook until sauce boils, and thickens, and tomato is heated through. serve over rice. Submitted By KATHERINE WALDEN On 10-04-94
