Thai steak salad

8 ounces Lean sirloin or top round --
About 1-inch thick
2 teaspoons Reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 medium Onion -- peeled and sliced
1 medium Cucumber -- peeled and
Sliced
1 tablespoon Lime juice
1 tablespoon Fish sauce (nam pla)
½ teaspoon Hot pepper sauce
Romaine leaves

Directions

Preheat broiler. Sprinkle the sirloin with soy sauce and rub it into the surface. Broil about 5-½ inches from the heat source until cooked through, about 7 minutes on each side for rare. Let the steak relax for 10 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain. Toss with the onion and cucumber. In a small bowl combine the lime juice, fish sauce, and hot pepper sauce. Pour over the salad an toss well to combine. Arrange the salad on romaine lettuce and serve warm.
