½ | pounds | White sandwich bread; very thin slices |
¼ | cup | Unsalted butter; room temperature |
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Using a butter knife or offset spatula, spread bread with butter. Using a 1¾-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out four hearts per slice. Remove excess, and save for bread crumbs. Bake hearts until golden brown, 13 to 15 minutes.
Makes sixty 1 ¾-inch hearts.
