Uncle dirty dave's cincinatti hot dog sauce

Ingredients

2 | tablespoons | Bacon drippings |
1 | pint | Beef broth (unsalted) |
1 | cup | Tomato puree (10 1/2 oz) |
1 | teaspoon | Tabasco |
1 | Chili pepper pod, or more to taste | |
2 | Onions, coarsely chopped | |
2 | cloves | Garlic, finely chopped |
3 | tablespoons | Chilli powder (heaping) |
1 | tablespoon | Oregano |
1 | tablespoon | Cumin |
1 | teaspoon | Paprika |
1 | teaspoon | Mustard, ground |
¼ | teaspoon | Cayenne pepper |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Allspice |
3 | Cloves, ground | |
1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
Directions
DIRECTIONS
Brown meat; add bacon drippings and cook 5 minutes. Put onion and garlic into blender with enough of the beef broth to let the blender chop the stuff finely. Pour into pan with the meat and leftover broth, tomato puree, Tabasco, pepper, onion and garlic; simmer 30 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer slowly for 1 to 2 hours.
Serve on hot dogs or Polish sausage. Top with raw onion, grated sharp Cheddar cheese and plenty of cold beer (root or real).
