Walnut-cinnamon crisps

1 | cup | Margarine or butter, softened |
1 | Egg, separated | |
2 | cups | All-purpose, self-rising or unbleached flour |
½ | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon |
1 | tablespoon | Water |
½ | cup | Very finely chopped walnuts |
Directions

Heat oven to 350F. Mix sugar, margarine and egg yolk. Stir in flour and cinnamon. Press in lightly greased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2x10 1/2x1". (Or use 2 square pans, one 8x8x2" and one 9x9x2".) Beat egg white and water until foamy; brush over dough. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake 20 to 25 min or until very light brown. Immediately cut into 2½ to 3" squares. Cut diagonally into halves.
About 40 cookies.
