White mountain strawberry ice cream

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Milk
2 tablespoons Cold water
cup Heavy cream
3 Egg
teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
cup Confectioner's sugar
1 tablespoon Powdered gelatin
2 cups Crushed sweetened strawberries

Directions

Beat eggs and sugar until light, add gelatin which has been softened in the cold water and dissolved over boiling water. Stir in the milk, add vanilla, cream (to which salt has been added), whipped until stiff, in an ice cold bowl. Press strawberries through a sieve, sweeten and stir into mixture.

Freeze. Makes 4 quarts.
