1 | Egg, beaten slightly | |
2 | To 4 tablespoons vegetable | |
Oil | ||
2 | tablespoons | Powdered sugar |
Directions
Spoon 1 rounded teaspoon filling in center of each won-ton wrapper.
Brush egg around edge of each wrapper. Fold in half; lightly press edges together to seal. With finger tips, slightly flatten filling.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in an 8-inch skillet over medium heat. Fry won tons on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar. Makes 16 won tons.
Walnut Filling: ½ cup finely chopped walnuts 2 tablespoons honey ⅛ teaspoon grated lemon peel
In a small bowl, combine walnuts, honey and lemon peel.
