Atlantic highlands steamed soft shells

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |

4 | eaches | Dozen small soft shell clams in shell |
1 | cup | Water |
1 | tablespoon | Seafood seasoning |
¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
1 | tablespoon | Margarine |
Directions
Wash clams thoroughly. Place water in a large pot and add clams.
Sprinkle with seasonings. Cover tightly, bring to a boil, and reduce heat. Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until shells open. Drain clams, reserving liquid. Strain liquid and add margarine. Serve hot clams in shells with broth on the side for dipping.
