½ | cup | Butter |
1½ | cup | Sugar |
1 | cup | Milk |
1 | teaspoon | Lemon extract |
2¼ | cup | Flour, sifted |
2½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
3 | Egg whites, well beaten |
Directions
Cream together butter and sugar. Add milk a little at a time. Add lemon. Gradually beat in flour and baking soda. Carefully fold in beaten egg whites. Turn into greased and floured pan and bake in a moderate oven until done.
