Aunt minnie's oatmeal cookies

Ingredients

1 | cup | Lard or shortening |
1½ | cup | Brown sugar |
½ | cup | Sugar |
2 | Eggs, beaten | |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
1½ | cup | Flour |
3 | cups | Oatmeal |
½ | cup | Nuts, chopped |
Directions
Beat shortening and sugars well. Add eggs and vanilla and beat again.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Shape into a loaf. chill overnight. In the morning, slice and bake 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
