Batter-fried shrimp

2 | pounds | Large Shrimp, uncooked |
¾ | cup | Flour, unsifted |
¾ | cup | Water |
1 | Egg, slightly beaten | |
1 | tablespoon | Sugar |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
Planters Peanut Oil |
Directions
Peel shrimp leaving tails on; devein. Split shrimp part way through, butterfly fashion. Combine flour, water, egg, sugar and salt to make a batter. Dip shrimp into batter and fry in deep, hot (375 degrees F.) Planters Peanut Oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Makes about 6 servings.
