3 tablespoons Sugar
1 Egg
¾ cup Milk
1 cup Bran
1 cup Sifted enriched flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt

From: Wayne or Diane Beck <beck@...> Date: Fri, 26 Jul 1996 04:19:00 PDT Here is one from an old "Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook": Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat well. Stir in milk, then bran.

Add flour sifted with baking powder and salt; stir until dry ingredients are just moistened.

Fill greased muffin pans ⅔ full and bake in hot oven (425) 20 to 25 minutes. Any type of bran may be successfully used in this recipe. Makes 1 dozen muffins.
