2 | teaspoons | Chili powder |
⅛ | teaspoon | Ground cumin |
1 | can | Campbell's pork & beans in tomato sauce (16 oz.) OR |
1 | can | Campbell's Ranchero beans (15 1/2 oz.) |
2 | tablespoons | Chopped and seeded Vlasic mild or hot cherry peppers |
8 | Frankfurters | |
8 | Frankfurter buns, split and toasted | |
½ | cup | Finely chopped onion |
Directions
To make chili: In 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, cook beef, chili powder and cumin until no pink remains in meat, stirring to separate meat. Spoon off fat. Stir in beans, pressing with spoon to mash slightly. Stir in peppers; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
On grill rack, arrange frankfurters directly above medium-hot coals.
