Chocolate filled walnut oatmeal bars

Ingredients

½ cup Margarine
cup Cocoa
¼ cup Sugar
14 ounces Can sweetened condensed milk
teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Margarine; softened
2 cups Packed light brown sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ teaspoon Powdered instant coffee
3 cups Quick oats
cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
cup Chopped walnuts; divided

Directions

Melt margarine in Microwave. Add cocoa and sugar and stir. Add sweetened condensed milk. Microwave and stir to thick, smooth consistency. Remove from oven. Add 1½ tsp. vanilla. Heat oven to 350 F. In large mixer bowl, beat softened margarine and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and coffee powder. Beat well. In separate bowl, mix oats, flour, soda, salt and 1 cup of chopped nuts. Gradually add to butter mixture, the last ¼ by hand. Remove 2 cups of mixture. Press rest into a 15 1/2x10 ½" pan, ungreased. Top with chocolate filling. Sprinkle on rest of oat mixture and top with last ½ cup nuts. Press down lightly. Bake at 350 F. for 25 minutes, or until golden. Cool well before cutting into bars.
