Confetti rice~ (1982)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¼ cup Butter or margarine
½ cup Chopped onion
½ cup Green pepper -- chopped
1 cup Rice
½ cup Pimiento -- chopped
10½ ounce Can condensed consomme
¾ cup Water
¼ teaspoon Monosodium glutamate
teaspoon Salt

Directions

Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan. Add onion and green pepper. Cook until tender but not browned. Add rice, pimiento, consomme, water, monosodium glutamate and pepper. Bring to boil. Stir once, cover and cook over low heat 24 minutes or until rice is tender and all liquid is incorporated. Makes 4 to 5 servings.
